I will re-post Bean's comment to clear up any confusion:

It's looking like there will be 2 seperate events on two seperate days.

The we are change folks will be hosting an event in Renton at the new fed location on the 21st
for more details check out http://9-11.meetup.com/341/calendar/8813224/

The endthefed.us event will be on the 22nd in downtown Seattle at the vacant fed location. For more details:

I encourage everyone passionate about ending the fed to come out on both days! (=

I'm getting conflicting info on what is happening on both days. We Are Change has it that everyone will meet at the 2nd ave location on Friday. I like this idea best, but need some kind of confirmation that everyone else is planning on doing that.

I live in upstate NY and will be attending the Buffalo event. I just wanted to pass along an idea about recycling the campaign signs.

I found a website where we can purchase plastic bag signs without the frames for about $0.65 ea, in lots of 5000. Many of the 2008 signs are plastic bags that fit over a rectangular wire frame, but they look just like the old posterboard signs, unless you look closely.

I figure the signs should be displayed in sets of at least 4, going down a road for instance. That woud entail an investment of $13,000, which is no problem since I know a couple of websites where they could be sold (smiley face). But it is a little more than I am comfortable investing personally. If anyone has any thoughts, they would be appreciated.

In any case, I think we should collect as many frames as possible. Even if we don't manage to purchase the pre-printed bags for this rally, we can do so later, if we have the wire frames.

Convert Campaign Signs to End The Fed

Folks, the repeal of the Federal Reserve Act is the most important issue of our time, perhaps of all time. We really need to get some significant attendance.

Lets recycle the campaign signs on Nov 5, and paste over them with End The Fed information. Since the signs are sturdy and a standard size, we can buy rolls of cheap poster paper (Walmart) and set up an assembly line to mass produce signs like:

THE CURRENCY BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE
REPEAL THE FEDERAL RESERVE ACT
VISIT END THE FED DOT COM
TAKE BACK THE CURRENCY
ITS OUR MONEY AND WE WANT IT NOW

If we get these re-posted right after the elections, they will attract attention while the campaign is still fresh in people's minds and while the president-elect is trying to explain his economic plans. This is a good way to bring your group together with a practical purpose that will atract many more people to the rally.

Should be downtown on the 21st to promote the protest on the 22nd.

Hey all! Chris here. I'm one of the asst organizers for WACS. In fact, it may make sense for us just to combine our efforts on Saturday downtown.
Just to be sure....The downtown Seattle Fed location is no longer being used. not sure what's there, but it's no longer the Seattle Fed location. I had no idea you guys were putting this on down there. That being said, I agree the affect will be much greater regardless of if anything is actually there or not, just b/c of ANY foot traffic. The renton location we are planning won't have any!
