A New Way Forward.org now supports Audit The Fed!

Please list your ETF and Melt The Switchboard Day event on their site ASAP. They do not fall in line with our principles 100% but they have an issue with the banks. Organizers should read about there platform so you know how to educate their supporters about the REAL problem, The Federal Reserve System. Email me with any questions.

Also, Donny Shaw did a write-up on HR 1207 @ OpenCongress.org!

This is a great place to add your two-sense.

See if you can start a discussion (click the "Start Discussion" link above). You should be able to attach files to your post. Let me know if you have any problem with this.

I agree with you, I'm not above getting a permit from the authorities to hold our rally, though we should be free to peacefully assemble without approval. If you need reimbursement, I don't think that will be a problem.

The next step is to get the word out about this rally & try to get a good attendance. I also have lots of fliers and files which would be good to hand out to people. Is it possible for me to post them to this group for others do download?

It would probably be a good idea to get a permit for the rally. I believe this cost me $15 (maybe $25) for the November rally. The official city policy is you should get a permit for any rally that will include more than 10 people. Also, rally permits are only good for 2 hours.

In practice, probably no permit is needed, and we shouldn't need to worry about the time. They have anti-war and abortion (both pro and con) rallies all the time in 5 Points without anyone getting a permit. However, I would rather err on the side of caution here. Not only would it be very inconvenient to be arrested and jailed for not having a permit, it would discredit the legitimacy of our movement in the public's eye.

I don't like kowtowing to the "authorities" like this, but you've got to pick and choose your battles. This is one not worth fighting, IMO.

I've started a Facebook group for this rally too, so join that if you're on Facebook and invite friends.

Let's start the planning. I think 5 points is the best location and the time, from 12-2 like last time should work fine. Perhaps extending it to 3 for those who want to stay later might be a good idea.

Do we need permits? Can you take care of that for us again Stephen?
