Hey, I just got a notice nationally of the rally. The health care tidal wave has swamped America.
We still have a long way to go until the 2010 elections. Until then lets fill the streets around the Federal Reserve on the 22nd! Shall it be noon?

In spite of the fact that I could not sign in to this other ETF site,.
Perhaps the names are mostly just aliases. Anybody recognize any of these?
Coyote, Coyote84, Brandi, daversion, drewdeal, mbossard, Marih, LuckiiLuckii, georgebeavers, Mattypup, Nickmarrant, jbrunson, Pamelais, Jonez, pumalife, ladymor, roj.
I would still prefer to have 21 new members ;^)

Is there another END THE FED group working in Portland?

Restore the Republic lists 23 members of a Portland "End the Fed" group, but few of them are us, as far as I can tell.
Harlykwin and LeeAnn are the only member names that seem to be the same.

http://restoretherepublic.net/group_members.php?group_id=177&p=3

The site also did NOT recognize my email, so I could not sign in.

Weird as this seems, it may turn out to be an easy way to double our membership.

Saturday was a big day. We had a gathering in downtown Portland.

Nobody brought a barbeque, but we roasted - The Federal Reserve – Certainly the biggest WEENIE on that block.

Yesterday at the Vancouver farmers market, we had a petition to let citizens encourage Congressman Brian Baird to cosponsor HR 1207 to Audit the Federal Reserve. We got one signature every two minutes during the time we were there.

Tomorrow we will present his office with our petitions.

This should not be a partisan issue. This should be a public health issue. We NOW realize that partially hydrogenated fats are not really quite FOOD.

Similarly, we should now see that unlimited paper and digital “cash” is not really money, and treating it as such is unhealthy.

A New Way Forward.org now supports Audit The Fed!

Please list your ETF and Melt The Switchboard Day event on their site ASAP. They do not fall in line with our principles 100% but they have an issue with the banks. Organizers should read about there platform so you know how to educate their supporters about the REAL problem, The Federal Reserve System. Email me with any questions.

Also, Donny Shaw did a write-up on HR 1207 @ OpenCongress.org!

This is a great place to add your two-sense.

On Saturday there won't be many at the state legislature to wake up, and after the massive Tea party it might look ineffectual. Also, is there a federal reserve there?
I guess another factor might be where OUR people are though...

Who wants to also have a rally on 4/25/09 in Salem to help wake up our state legislature?

We went to 1500 SW 1st. Somebody went inside and verified that it was the Federal Reserve, I was told- because there was no markings outside.
After an hour or so Alex led us all down to first, and he played the bullhorn there for an hour.
After that it was off to Pioneer Courthouse square, where security kept the crowd off the open square, so they marched around it, playing the bullhorn from a couple of the corners, while some who got there earlier handed out free Republic and New American magazines inside the square. About 30 - 40 people. Just the right size to get attention without seriously impeding pedestrian traffic.
