wow this was very unorganized. a big thanks to everyone who said they would take care of permits and everything. if no one intended on doing it they should have said so.

i just wanted let you know i am excited for tomorrow. even if no one shows up. my wife, Mom and maybe some other friends will come they said if their are people..... but We'll be there. i have fliers printed i have about 40 fliers printed. I had DVD done if someone wants to share some DVD's in time i could pass the image and we can burn them as fast as we can in the morning. anybody up for that? Also signs if any one has any extra we could use some....

I was at a 912 meeting at 7:00....were any concrete plans made for a rally for Sat or Sun?

I am going to the city/county building to check into the permit question, I will post back here when I return. Since it seems like there is enough interest here for Sunday, the 22nd (the National event day), I will seek a permit for Sunday, the 22nd starting at Noon until 3.

So C4Liberty Meetup Salt Lake would like to know if we're sticking with Sunday? Do we need a permit, do we have a permit?

I apologize to everyone for not attending, but I will be at the UT GOP State Central Committee meeting on Saturday. We would like to see some important things happen for next years Nominating Convention where we will be picking the next US Senator to represent Utah in Washington.

IMO Ralllys have their place, but I have not seen positive enough results to spend the time and money to make it to every one.

They can be a great place to find people to work with, but the real battle is in the trenches where the policies are made and the "leaders" are chosen.

I will do what I can to help in the meantime to help with the event and would like to speak with the people who are passionate enough to organize this event themselves as I helped Chaunce do last November, (Our first attempt, which turned out pretty good)

I propose we have a confrence call ASAP tomorrow to find someone who will be able to get the permit any handouts or other things.

You won't really need to much to have a successful rally. If we can all get on a conference call sometime tomorrow I will send the announcement to all previous attendees who shared their contact info with us at the first rally for anyone who would like to compose a reminder/invitation.

If there are any who would like to get a feel for things as far as the UT Republican Party goes here is where the event will be held:
Bountiful City Chambers, 790 S 100 E, Bountiful, UT.
Starting at 8:00 AM

I should be easy to find with a backwards red hat.

BladeUtah.....I don't think we can just show up with signs. I believe permits for a protest must first be secured.

Sorry for the delay getting back here. I have tried to get a hold of Chaunce but to no avail. I favor meeting on Saturday the 21st, as there will be more traffic.
Though there is no organized effort, those of us that want to meet should show up with signs and gather in front of the building.
