I called the organizer of this event and he said that it has been planned for two weeks. Had I known earlier I might have been able to go to it. But I am going to be going to the Utah Convention of Liberty on the 14th so I have to pick and choose which events I will be attending.

Oh my gosh I would be there with all my heart guts and liver if I had known in time. We have been waiting for this and want to do it but have not enough time to get schedules changed. PULEEEEZE do not make this the last time. WE ARE WITH YOU ON THIS!!! When can we do it again?

I sat around and watched other cities throw tea parties and I waited for someone to organize a Salt Lake Tea party. When no one did, I decided to do it myself!

So, I am organizing a "Salt Lake Tea Party" on the West Stairs of the Utah State Capitol to protest the out-of-control spending and the squandering of our country's future. The "Salt Lake Tea Party" (in honor of the Boston Tea Party) will be on Friday, March 6, 2009 at the Utah State Capitol in Salt Lake City. Poster making begins at 11:00 AM and the rally will kick off at 12:00 noon when the legislators break for lunch. We want to tell the legislators what we think as they walk down the stairs to go to lunch. There are tax breaks and bailouts for everyone who made this mess and people who made prudent decisions within their means are left to pay for the cleanup.

Here you can see the other Tea Parties across the country--Notice Salt Lake has been added to the list! :)

Now, I will stand and talk to the wind if no one shows up. But, it would be better if you could help me get the word out and let the politicians know what we think. Better yet, COME AND JOIN US!

David, definitely-I was going to mark that as an event already and I would love to create the literature, but I think that we should all have some input on it-attend one of the upcoming meetings and we shall talk about it!

On March 16th we will be having a meeting at the Park Library in Talorsville at 4870 south 2700 west to discuss and plan for the rally on the 25th. If you can, please attend as well as everyone else who gets this message!

I cannot lead this but I and my family can surely be there and we can pass out literature and spread emails. We passed out 100 Republic "tax issue" magazines. Should we do this? ABSOLUTELY!!!
