Alright Ronald. I agree to having a sign party. I just got back from a small meeting of people who are commited to End The Fed and we think that its time to take action NOW. So much time has been wasted (I think) because of confusion and whatnot because of the many sites End The Fed. We need to get together now and get organized before it is too late. We have to get serious and buckel down. A few friends of mine are thinking of meeting again this week in Sugarhouse Park. I will post up more info about future meetings.

If anyone has any questions. Please feel free to contact me by e-mail

Thanks, Mark Thomas (and group). I propose a sign making party! We can eat good food and meet each other and discuss ideas for effectiveness and knowing each other, we can easily spot agent provocateurs who we can expect to show up. Having knowledge of this and knowing we don't have to be vulnerable is the key to making them ineffective. Please comment with your interest in having a sign making party. I propose we delay until after the election as many of us are campaigning for the few good candidates we have and putting up door hangars and signs, etc.

I don't have the place, so someone else among us might offer that. I do have bright colored vinyl stick on material that is used to make letters and signs. We can cut out shapes and letters with scissors and peal off the backing and it sticks onto a sign. It is highly visible and very high quality and resistant to weather, so we can use the signs we make again and again. I will provide it free for making our End The Fed signs. I will also bring some refreshments. Now all we need is someone to offer a place for us to have a sign making party.

We can also find signs and fliers and related materials here:
http://endthefed.us/download.php

On signs, be sure to respect the contributors of political campaigns by allowing them to reuse the signs bought by their hard work and contributions. Many will not be reused, but an example of a sign that will be reused is Utah's only Ron Paul endorsed candidate, Rob Alexander of house district 35 and also a member of this group. Please help his campaign by volunteering (I'm going out to hang door hangars to be read by voters before the election and can use your help) and we could use help in collecting his signs to use again in two years. Those collecting them can give them to Rob Alexander or to anyone of his supporters (me) to give to him. You will need clippers to cut the cable ties that hold them onto fences.

On signs for converting to our End The Fed purposes, please find out that a sign is not going to be collected to be used again to selectively use only signs that have finished serving their purpose.

Since we are also a national group, we might also consider the advantages of placing a large order of professionally made silk screened signs to be distributed to all of our local groups. That would take some organization and contributions to do that. But, for a multitude of different messages and slogans and quotes, etc., and to get started, we have great versatility in homemade signs that even more represent the grassroots movement. Still, we do have limited time and resources and our time might be better used by having signs made at a cost that is much lower than what our time is worth unless we are making many different and unique signs.

Just to be clear - I live in upstate NY and will be attending the Buffalo rally. I just wanted to share the campaign sign idea. A sign-making bee is just what I had in mind. I'm glad you liked it. Mark

Convert Campaign Signs to End The Fed

Folks, the repeal of the Federal Reserve Act is the most important issue of our time, perhaps of all time. We really need to get some significant attendance.

Lets recycle the campaign signs on Nov 5, and paste over them with End The Fed information. Since the signs are sturdy and a standard size, we can buy rolls of cheap poster paper (Walmart) and set up an assembly line to mass produce signs like:

THE CURRENCY BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE
REPEAL THE FEDERAL RESERVE ACT
VISIT END THE FED DOT COM
TAKE BACK THE CURRENCY
ITS OUR MONEY AND WE WANT IT NOW

If we get these re-posted right after the elections, they will attract attention while the campaign is still fresh in people's minds and while the president-elect is trying to explain his economic plans. This is a good way to bring your group together with a practical purpose that will atract many more people to the rally.

Here are some mentions of provocateurs in our local Ron Paul Meetup group where we all have been informed and are very resistant to troubles that can be caused:

Jena, Not officially, but I do volunteer. On leadership, our Founding Fathers admonished all of us to be ever vigilant and participatory in our Constitutional republic form of representative self-government. That makes us all leaders and autonomous. I am our volunteer and sure I will help organize events and submit the necessary notifications with local officials, etc. I have experience with public events (I have organized many Ron Paul events and grassroots campaigns within the Republican Party) and know techniques for effectiveness and how to inform our members to be very aware of agent provocateurs to avoid troubles.

Ron, are you our leader? What should we do to get ready? What should our signs say, what time should we show up, that kind of stuff?
