There is no greater threat to the long-term security and prosperity of the United States today than the out-of-control, secretive Federal Reserve.

The Federal Reserve is a private, unelected group of banks that was created by congress in 1913 and was given the previously congressional responsibility of money creation. Ever since, the dollar has declined in value by 95%. The Fed does this by inflation, or expansion of the money supply. This acts as a hidden tax that requires you to pay more dollars for every product and service to recoup that loss in purchasing power. In addition to this the fed artificially sets interest rates, funds the bailouts, the wars, and picks economic winners and losers.

2013 symbolizes the 100th anniversary of the Federal Reserve. It's time to End The Fed!

Has anyone sent out a press release yet? I think it would be a good idea to have a megaphone or airhorns. They gather attention to our protest. Also, if someone has a huge flag they can wave, that would be wonderful. Any thing to let people know we are not just a big tourist group.

Updated plan
Schedule - Saturday, November 22
We meet up at the Ferry Building at 10:00am or earlier and start the march at 10:30am.
We march from there along Market St to Union Square and then go back up Market St. to the Federal Reserve Building where will meet at the Federal Reserve Building at noon. The route is approximately 2 miles and an estimated 39 minutes by walking. The march will be slow so we can expect the march to take 1 hr and 20 minutes (twice the normal pace).

Speakers (12 noon)
So far we have Carol Brouillet and Anthony Gregory confirmed to speak.
Justin Raimondo, Phil Berg, Matt Gonzalez, and Cindy Sheehan have been contacted, and we are awaiting their reply.

It's Saturday and there may be a farmer's market going on at the ferry bldg and that would be great for info spreading. We should pick-up lots of people along the route, and if all the speakers are there, we will have a huge crowd. Spread the word, this is growing.

If I May, our Los Angeles location is also very weary on Saturday. We are going to meet there, march around the building a few times and get some great YOUTUBE footage!! Then we are going to split into a couple groups and walk around in more populated areas- handing out literature and educating people. We are keepin our signs hand held- not much bigger than 2'x4' so we don't impede traffic.

I understand the significance of the date, the 22nd, but I'm wondering about the wisdom of meeting in downtown areas of cities on a Saturday. Downtown S.F. is a ghost town on the weekend. If we want people to see this protest then we should meet on the Friday before, the 21st of November. Any thoughts on that?

We are going to meet at the Ferry Building in San Francisco at 11am to March to the Fed which is a short distance away. Some will meet earlier to set it up. At least one speaker is lined up.
There are several places besides this one trying to line up this event.
Meet at the Ferry Buliding at 11am on November 22nd, 2008.

Convert Campaign Signs to End The Fed

Folks, the repeal of the Federal Reserve Act is the most important issue of our time, perhaps of all time. We really need to get some significant attendance.

Lets recycle the campaign signs on Nov 5, and paste over them with End The Fed information. Since the signs are sturdy and a standard size, we can buy rolls of cheap poster paper (Walmart) and set up an assembly line to mass produce signs like:

THE CURRENCY BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE
REPEAL THE FEDERAL RESERVE ACT
VISIT END THE FED DOT COM
TAKE BACK THE CURRENCY
ITS OUR MONEY AND WE WANT IT NOW

If we get these re-posted right after the elections, they will attract attention while the campaign is still fresh in people's minds and while the president-elect is trying to explain his economic plans. This is a good way to bring your group together with a practical purpose that will atract many more people to the rally.

I'll try this one more time: what time do we meet up at the SF Fed on the 22nd?
