Ed Vallejo said… Chelonia,
I could not see a reason for your suspension, so I reinstated you. It was at that point that I could see you commented on Mr Rainsbergers wall. I guess one of the other Moderators saw it and suspended you for reasons of their own. Until I find out who, and converse with them I am going to leave you reinstated so we may further our 'civil discourse'.
I will admonish you to maintain a modicum of decor in your posts. Blasting him because of a comment I made on his wall was unfair to him, and reflected badly on you.
Ed
p.s. it is possible that the person spamming your wall (Sandra) is the reason you were suspended and she was not - it could have just been a mistake. I am suspending 'Sanda', and removing the spam from your wall.
(Any Mods involved this please message me privately.)

Harold Rainsberger said… I have read what you have written. I have digested your thoughts, even as ill as they make me feel. You are an obvious socialist however I am not sure you recognize it. Worse off, I find it hard to believe that all the writings you have sent are even from your own fingertips. They may be emulations of others and found their way to your wrists, but the fingers are not exhibiting the true origins as being from your own cranium.
I stand with knowing the possibility that I am wrong. I do however inform you that all of the following is generated by my own intellect.
Your disgust for the American way of competition and your disgust for anyone that has earned more than you has allowed yourself to display the evil green monster of envy within you for everyone to see.
You are most likely one of those who sat in your mom’s basement playing video games all the while many pleaded for you to pay attention to your government and get out and vote for the people who made sense, but you chose to sit and play. Now that your financial world is being rocked you are all up in arms to “kill them all”.
Tell the truth. You voted for Obama in 8 didn’t you?
What is your end game anyway?
Are there student loans which you feel are your right to have dismissed? Your large word usage demotes the obvious that you have received a higher level of education (if indeed they are your words).
Even though as a kid, winning the three legged race against your friends was the thrill of the summer; even though the triumph brought extreme endorphin production; you hate the competition of life as an adult because you are incapable of keeping up with the rest of us, so you scream out for your “fair share” of the rewards.
You are probably one of those sad sacks who won a trophy in your baseball season for participating yet you came in last.
Harold Rainsberger said… Your ideals that money should be lent without profit to the lender are as socialistic as Mao. What brainless boob planted that seed into your head?
Don’t get me wrong, I am just as outraged at the government’s tampering with the free market lending of money as all are in the ETF movement. I feel to my heart that executions are in order to remind people in the future the evils of doing so.
But free money? I am almost at a loss for words. What is the system of replacement that you propose anyway? It is always easy to criticize what is in existence. The hard job is replacing it with something that won’t be criticized in the future.
And no, I do not support things as they are. I just have common sense along with a large library of experience at making my own fortune by utilizing my skills. I may not be filthy rich but what I have I have earned by getting off of my hind quarters and making things happen. I do ratify the idea that the present conditions must be changed for the freedom of all. I do not ratify that the whole system needs trashing without a better one ready to be put into place. I hardily ratify that the system we were in before the meddling began is probably the best one, or close to it, that we have to choose from.
Your accusations of “You seem to be all for preserving the system of exploitation which makes you part of the problem” are totally false. You don’t know me even one percent how I know you. All I strive for is that the world should be on equal footing. No advantages other than one’s own abilities.
The manipulations of the markets, the picking of winners and losers for the benefit of the judges is what needs to brought to an end. Winning and losing is all part of life, it is what makes us stronger, and it is what makes life worth living.
In a truly free system, you and I competing is the key. If you do better than me and kick my ass, oh well I’ll see you again tomorrow. If I kick your ass then, the drinks will be on me.
In the end, if I have it all, too bad for everyone else. If I obtain it all by paying off the government to change the laws to my benefit, then hang them alongside of me.
Those that sit on the sidelines and prefer to observe, guess what? They deserve to be slaves. It’s the natural way of life. Eat or be eaten. If we build cages then to keep the sideliners in where their abilities are not allowing them to enter the same arena as we are allowed, then we, the builders of those cages, are truly criminals.
Anyway, I have pondered on it and I know who you are or at least I know the person you have emulated in your words (if they indeed do not belong to you).
You are Dagny Taggart with a communist mind.
I see your future plain as I see the sun on a cloudless day. You and your 99 friends will chorus victory when the free market system along with its friend capitalism are silenced in its entirety.
The dancing in the streets will go on endlessly.
Several months will go by when 30 of your comrades will recognize that 59 of the others are not working as hard as themselves, so their output will lessen. You and your closest 10 will take up the slack because the work must be done.
So it will seem.
Suddenly one day you will all wake up and realize that there is work to do. Unrewarded work but necessary work for you to survive. You and your 99 friends will set about doing the work because you all will realize it will be for the good of the people.
Harold Rainsberger said… Many years will fly by as you and your comrades, now 5, will struggle to constantly make up for the other 94 who have long ago realized that the rewards were the same whether they worked hard to produce or not. Sure they all show up for work, they get none of the rationings if they don’t, but they only pretend to work and what they do produce is of lower quality.
Suddenly you will collapse on the ground, dying while you work, all the while you will cry out “work harder comrades, work for the people”.
Wake up to the truth my friend. Wake up to the fact that life is about competition and the rewards one receives for being better than their neighbor are not only what makes life full of opportunities, it is also what has driven us to the great heights of societal evolution which we have enjoyed during our lifetime.
But don’t get me wrong, End the Fed. End it tomorrow and hang Bernanke’s, Paulson’s and Greenspan’s head on stakes outside the Washington office.
But make the reason for ending it comprehensible to all that watch. Make the purpose of your mission clear and concise.
Hanging with the crowd right now that is claiming to be the 99 and occupying Wall Street is not going to accomplish the mission which many have strived to educate the public on. In fact a misguided effort right now will only destroy the results many have struggled to obtain over the last few years.
Worse yet, many of those who have worked so hard have now lost their patience and have run with open arms to join this movement which have amongst them people who should be kept at a distance.
Destruction of their past efforts will be the result of associating with them.
Amongst the “99” right now are:
Rapists – Distance yourself from them.
Thieves – many of them believing they are entitled to what they steal. Distance yourself from them.
Anarchists – all they want is the downfall of society. These people have watched too many Mad Max movies and revel in the fantasy that the day soon will arrive where their bullying of the weak will be their everyday party. Distance yourself from them.
Nazis – there is no doubt that there are many Jews in this world, including ones falsely calling themselves Jews for despicable purposes, that I feel deserve lynching. This does not mean that I hate all Jews. These people crying out that the Jews must leave our country because they control the world are the ones that should be run out.
Distance yourself from them now.
History teaches us that the success of all revolts against the powers that be are directly proportionate to the righteousness of its cause.
The war of ETF is not against Wall Street or the Jews. It does not support rape and pillaging. It is not against our country having a government. It is against the governments meddling with our lives when our Constitution clearly restricts them from doing so.
I continue advocating to the people of all the groups which have sprung up over the last few years to join in one cause and make loud and clear a single purpose; return the Constitution to its full power of governmental restrictions.
From your own words: “The Federal Reserve System wasn't imposed by government -- it was imposed by bankers, who had to subvert government to accomplish their purpose of obfuscating the currency.”
This is the banner you should be waving, clear and concisely. Scream it loud and clear that these people subverted the government and are controlling our lives. Marching on Wall Street is not the answer. Hanging with riff raff is not the answer.
Whether that is the banner you wish to wave or not, wave a banner with one clear and concise slogan and wave it high. Run the riff raff out of your numbers and march with fewer but more determined feet and you will march to victory.
Keep the riff raff within your ranks and you are heading for a sure and deserved defeat because people like me, who do support your main causes, will be on the other side of the gate holding it closed so that the riff raff cannot get in.

If You Can
Harold Rainsberger said… Let me guess:
You are one of the clowns that have lost a house that you shouldn't have bought in the first place and your students loans are what you feel you shouldn’t be “forced” to pay for.
You anger when someone else can afford steak and all you can afford is peanut butter.
Your idea of a good time is when you can afford to download videos once a month on your I-phone because you received your welfare check.
Well, Boo Hoo Hoo.
Yes, I believe the best thing we need right now is for the interest rates to rise. We need to clear our banking structure of all the little vermin (like you) which are dragging our great ship down.
Sun Chips is my best analogy to use here.
The makers of Sun Chips, about a year ago, had a bag that was totally biodegradable. Each time I went to the store to buy chips, I bought Sun Chips purely because they were in this bag. One of our biggest future messes we will need to clean up is our plastic pollution.
How many bags of Sun Chips did you buy for this reason?
I didn't think you did.
Plain simple truth is that if everyone bought Sun Chips because they were in the biodegradable bag, every chip made would soon be in the biodegradable bag. Soon after that we would see pop bottles and diapers, all made of biodegradable material. Sure it would cost more, but we the people would be saving our planet, not looking for government legislation to fix everything.
But no, everyone wants their Lays or their Fritos today, no matter how they are packaged.
I had been using the analogy for several months when I heard the news. I haven’t had a better laugh in years as I did when I heard that the makers of Sun Chips were removing the bag from the shelves BECAUSE THEY WERE TOO NOISY!
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!
The idiotic masses couldn’t, for a second, look past their own inconvenience to solve a problem that they had expected for years the government to do for them.
Interest at the banks is the same thing.
If you feel that you need to buy a house, a house right now, then you will have to pay the interest that the banks offer. Our socialist country has survived for years on the Federal Government riding shotgun against the free market system’s control over interest rates. Banks have lent money to those that could not afford it only because the feds backed them with guarantees.
In a free market system there are two factions: the banks and their interest rates and your “must have it now” attitude (or the patience of the intelligent).
When you go down to the bank and borrow money at a high rate of interest along with all of your buddies, the banks keep the interest rates high because they have the customers to lend it to. If I want to buy a house, I am forced to pay the same high rate.
When you and your buddies wait for the day that I borrow money because I have had the patience to wait for the banks to b more reasonable, then we all get our loans at a lower rate.
Can I explain Free Market to you in any simpler a fashion?
I don’t think so.
So you go on hating free market and capitalism all you want, even though you have never lived in a world where neither one of them were left untampered.
Harold Rainsberger said… As is so often in our world, you are putting words into other people's mouths.
Ron is for the Free Market System in its entirety. If the people choose to use a bank that charges 150% a day to lend money, then Ron Paul would never stand in the way of the bank to charge that sum.
You are lost in the same frenzy that such a large portion of the world's population is presently. You are looking for the candy man to come along and make everything sweet.
That day is never going to come unless you get out and make it happen yourself.
This anti-capitalism movement that you are so in favor of is not going to bring you the life you dream it will.
Support Ron Paul for the right reason; his stand on returning our Republic to its Constitutional greatness. It is the misconceptions that people grasp of him because of statements like your previous one which have labeled him as unelectable.
