I wonder how many of those we-are-the-99% OWS protestors know what household income it takes to join the evil 1% they seek to destroy: the answer is $384,000.
Not exactly the millions and billions President Obama keeps talking about, but why let numbers get in the way of a good demonizing? Did you ever think about who makes that kind of money? Well, doctors and lawyers for sure, dentists, optometrists, small business owners, architects, builders, lobbyists, chiropractors,… Continue

- The Federal Reserve
- Another myth that all Americans live with is the charade known
as the "Federal Reserve." It comes as a shock to many to discover that it is not
an agency of the United States Government.
- The name "Federal Reserve Bank" was designed to deceive, and
it still does. It is not federal, nor is it owned by the…

While expressing his solidarity with the Occupy Wall Street movement this week, President Obama said something very weird - that OWS and Tea Party protestors share the frustration of feeling separated from our government.
No we don’t. I desperately want to be separated from my government again; separation from government is the whole purpose of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. It draws the lines between us and our government; it is our national restraining order against a… Continue

It didn’t take long for the establishment GOP to figure out how to dump on Herman Cain – if you can’t attack the man, attack the plan.
For the record, I don’t like Mr. Cain’s 9-9-9 either; I would much prefer 3-3-3. Because the problem is not just how we tax; as Milton Friedman said, the real rate of taxation is the rate of spending, and we spend about 12-12-12. We can thank both of the establishment parties for that.
And spending is what candidates should be focused on;… Continue

Seeing the GOP presidential debates in person is whole lot different from watching them on TV.
Thanks to our friend Herman Cain, we were seated right up front at the CNN debates last night in Las Vegas. Our section mates included gaming moguls Steve Wynn and Sheldon Adelson, the Romney family, Wayne Newton, and too many other notables to list. This was not just the 1% crowd, these were decimal pointers.
If you are reading this, you undoubtedly saw the debate yourself - and… Continue

The complexities of the human mind are staggering.
We seem to be the one main creature on the face of the planet with the innate ability to ‘reason’ our way into thoughts and actions that are, when allowed to extremes, inhumane. A simple reflection on the available ‘accepted’ history of human action and interaction on Earth gives an almost infinite number of examples that illustrate the depths of depravity this human nature has achieved – and this is readily bolstered by the…

I wrote this flyer the other day so I could distribute it at the Occupy Pittsburgh protests. The flyer is specifically intended to appeal to a liberal audience. It's easy to talk to people who you already agree with on the issue but the real battle is converting the people who of other viewpoints or the uninformed and that is what this flyer attempts to do. I handed it out by saying " are you interested in hearing about how the federal reserve is stealing money from the 99% and giving it to… Continue

Each year, Forbes magazine publishes a ranking of the best countries in which to do business. The United States has fallen to tenth place.
Canada, our good neighbor to the North (and the home of Athabasca University, my grad school alma mater I may add) has moved up from number four to number one. Sandwiched in between are Hong Kong and Singapore, some of the smaller European countries, and New Zealand. Not a sweatshop nation in the bunch – toldya.
This is not your… Continue

[Author's Note: upon publishing this column, several readers contacted me to inform that the photo referenced was taken at an earlier anti-capitalist protest in Portland, not at the OWS rally in New York, as was cited in a number of blogsites that inspired my piece. Apparently, the OWS defecation was directed at a police vehicle, not the burning flag. I do not "pull" my mistakes, just acknowledge and correct them. The point of the piece is still relevant if police cars are defaced, but I… Continue

Jct: It's too bad Ron Paul doesn't have an alternative to offer like Dennis Kucinich also calling to End the FED but replace it with US Treasury Dollars to pay for government and infrastructure expenses, Lincoln Greenbacks. Is he the only Yankee with a brain to see the brilliance of Yankee President Lincoln's Treasury notes and want to use them too. Sure End the FED, but have a workable alternative. I just can't understand how Democrat Dennis Kucinich knows about Republican Lincoln's… Continue

I'm all for "occupying" the Fed. I'm very much for ending the Fed and getting back to the Constitution and Constitutional money. I'm very concerned that many may be getting caught up in the "Occupy Wall Street" protests as being conducted and financed by Soros and other Communists. The rhetoric in the email I rec'd today from End the Fed (Steven Vincent) seems to echo much of the same rhetoric. We are gettting too close to the "change" into a Communist state as it is. Already, trial… Continue

Saturday October 8, 2011 hundreds of Occupy Wall Street protestors surrounded the Denver Federal Reserve branch chanting End the Fed. Many clearly understood the Feds role in destabilizing our economy. It was a beautiful sight!

We gathered in front of the L.A. office of the Federal Reserve at about noon and made signs. Our little gang of 15 End the Feders got quite a few honks and shouts as we marched towards the City Hall and Occupy Los Angeles.
As we approached we hooked up with more End the Fed people and we rolled into the plaza in front of City Hall which was covered with the tents of the Occupistas. We chanted "End the Fed, Jail the Bankers!" and got lots of smiles and shouts and applause.… Continue

Presidential candidate Mitt Romney has released his foreign advisor list. Which raises the question; is it already planned that he will win the primary and the presidential election? After further research of the people on the list; it appears that his advisors are just a continuation of past and present policies most Americans do not like. These men and women are all from the same circles of thought that advised George H. Bush and Barrack Obama (a.k.a. Barry Soetoro)… Continue
